If you haven’t been living under a rock over the past few years, you would know that technology is advancing at the speed of light and autonomous technology is taking over. We have artificial intelligence taking over our phones and even have self-driving cars that are widely available to us at this moment. In China, many factories have even replaced their workers with robots! About 70% of the factories in major cities that used to work in factories have been let go and replaced with robots. Also, in China, you can make transactions using your face now and that technology will reach other countries very soon. Can you see the pattern? Seems pretty clear.

Next up are truck drivers, we have about 1.7 million drivers, if not more, here in the U.S.A. alone. With autonomous trucks coming to a highway near you, we can expect that pretty much all of these people will be out of jobs soon after. It makes sense for companies since they are built to profit, and instead of paying a driver, why not buy a self-driving truck? It sure will pay off big in the long run, which would save companies millions of dollars.

What do you think will happen next? Will we have robot nurses? Robot bank tellers? Autonomous race cars on the tracks? It is pretty clear that there will be a lot more robots/AI working than humans one day if technology continues to advance at this rate. In the long run, it seems like becoming a robot/AI/software developer would be a wise choice for a career, wouldn’t you say?

Let us know what you predict to happen in the near future. Happy readings!
